or cryosurgery) is a minimally invasive procedure
of freezing the prostate tumor while reducing damage to surrounding
tissues. It has been found that cryoablation is an effective
treatment for primary prostate cancer. Cryoablation is also the
only prostate cancer treatment that can be repeated without risk
of added complications.
